Denim has always had a casual reputation. No matter if it’s jeans, a jacket, or a dress - denim instantly adds that relaxed, casual energy to an outfit. It’s the fabric of ease, not elegance. But how could we turn the casual jeans fabric into an elegant show lunch date outfit?

This look is about turning that expectation upside down. The denim dress is the centerpiece, structured and slightly rigid in texture, yet cut in a way that beautifully shapes the body. It has that balance of simplicity and refinement that makes it the perfect canvas for contrast.

The sheer embellished gloves are the first twist. They’re delicate, almost fragile, and sit in complete opposition to the weight of the denim. But that’s exactly the point - they soften the look, bring in a sense of glamour, and suddenly the outfit doesn’t read as “casual” anymore. Gloves are genuinely something that we interpret as highly chic, reserved for gala nights and the really high society events, but implementing these in a more casual outfit creates contrast and makes the look already an eye-catcher.

Then come the accessories - a little dramatic, slightly nostalgic, and perfectly elegant. The earrings are also very chic and are considered something you wear on a night out. That‘s exactly how dressing up any piece of clothing works. The checked mules with a low block heel keep things wearable but still elevated. You can walk around the city, go for lunch, or head to a meeting without losing that polished edge. The yellow sequin bag adds warmth and personality, breaking up the blue palette and bringing even more spice to the look.

I’ve always believed that mixing textures and styles creates the most interesting results. There’s something captivating about pairing materials that technically “don’t belong together” - denim with pearls, sequins with structure, casual with couture. This is wear fashion gets fun - how really outstanding and individual looks are born.

You could wear this look to an elegant lunch, a creative meeting, or even a daytime event where you want to look like you understand fashion - where you want to be the center of attention.

Let‘s make fashion a conversation starter.
